  • I grew up hearing sporadic stories about an uncle who had a motorcycle, wrecked it, and never rode it again and my grandfather who owned a 50's era BSA 500 and rode all over Scotland with my grandmother in tow.

My fascination with riding is an understatement. For at least the past decade I've spent hundreds hours researching bikes, watching videos and movies about riding, trolling forums and dreaming of one day taking a trip from the northern tip of Alaska to the southern most point of Argentina.

Today I took my first measurable step towards realizing that dream, buying my first bike.

I think I name it The Spirit of Austin (after the new home I've come to really love). It represents freedom, new experiences, conquering fears, life without worry, and great friends.
