  • Quietly, she wheeled herself into the frame and stood there, immobile for a good quarter of an hour.
    Her eyes running through each color nuance,
    her ears capturing every sound,
    her nostrils gently breathing in the summer breeze,
    her skin cells catching every photon gliding down the sky.

    Her bright red jacket popping out more and more as she was absorbing it all.
    Her brighter, redder jacket shouting out “I am alive!” in the face of everything.

    Then, quietly, she wheeled herself out.
