  • Always stop for kids selling lemonade at a lemonade stand.
Period. No If, Ands, or Buts.

So today when we were coming home and saw two little kids selling lemonade on their curb, I had to stop. It's a Life Rule, right? Except they weren't selling lemonade, they were giving away free lemonade just because they wanted to. I think they missed the boat on the ABC's of entrepreneurship.

I asked them if they were accepting donations in lieu of charging money. They said "Yes" and added they were also taking tips. With a smile, I dug as much change as I could find out of my purse. Granted, this rule is not a "Life Biggie", like don't steal other people's stuff or kill anybody, but for me at least, it's one of those things that adds some sweet to the sour parts of life.
