  • Today I had the privilege of visiting the Anastasis Academy with its founder, Kelly Tenkely. The academy is designed to promote creative learning, with every child equipped with an iPad and a child's curiosity. Material can be learned in many different ways, with less emphasis on finding the right answer, but instead discovering multitudes of ways to explore many plausible answers.

The energy and collaboration of these children were amazing. Grouped not by age, but by developmental abilities...younger kids teaching older kids how they learned stop motion animation overnight.

I overheard another group talking and a boy I'd estimate as 10 or 11 says in a group discussion, "translations lose their meaning when dealing with words like love, because it's the only word we have for it."

I felt my childhood passion for learning and knowledge welling up within. Never let the curiosity subside, else your mind withers.
