Those hands…they guided me, shaped me and shown me the way all of these years.
There were times that I had no idea they were leading me, but indeed they were.
So here I sit, looking at those hands in such a battered state from all of the nurses and doctors endless pricking.
It is now my turn to lead. You are never truly prepared for moments like these;
they are thrust upon you like the chilly wind from an approaching storm.
But it is now me who must lead these hands,
these hands that piloted bombing missions over Germany,
flew in the face of tradition to run businesses,
took chances to succeed,
always leading.
Now me.
How little did I know I was ready!
