  • One Monday morning in August, the first day of middle school, I walked into my reading class. I was nervous because I thought the kids were going to judge me and that it was going to be a big class. When I walked into the classroom the teacher said "hi,my name is Ms Tomaso, whats your name?" I said,"Sabrina." I looked around the classroom and saw there were only six kids sitting at a table. Ms Tomaso said, "introduce yourself." I said,"hi my name is Sabrina, I like to dance. Then the other kids introduced themselves. There was Azusana,Veronica, Catrina, Angel, Jesse, and Steve. Steve was shy so I tried talking to him but he didn't say much.
After class Steve came up to me in the hall and said sorry for not talking and asked if I wanted to hang out for lunch. I said "sure" with a big smile. Steve was cute, I had a big crush on him and I think he liked me too.
At lunch I was walking to a table and I heard Steve call "hey Sabrina" and wave me over to his table. I sat down but I didn't eat. I was nervous and for the entire lunch time we didn't talk. Then at last, Steve asked me if I was going to eat my food. I shook my head no. He said you're going to be hungry. I said I didn't care. He laughed, I smiled.
I got butterfly's because he kept looking at me and just smiling. I put my hands up to my face because I was blushing. He laughed and tried moving my hands then asked if I had a boyfriend. I said "no, why do you ask?" He said "you're too beautiful to be single." I laughed, he smiled.
After lunch Steve walked me to my class. When we got there I told him, "thank you, good bye." He said,"okay pretty mama, bye have a good day."
I couldn't stop thinking about him. In my class I couldn't stop daydreaming how cute he was. I wondered if he felt the same. Then, the bell rang. "Crap," I didn't get any work done. I walked out of class and there was Steve, waiting for me. He pushed me softly and I pushed him down. He laughed, I smiled.
As we were walking to my next class, Steve grabbed my hand. I looked at him a little confused but he just smiled and kept holding my hand. He asked me if I was having a good day. I smiled and said "yes, how about you?" He looked down at our hands, smiled, then looked at me and said "wonderful." I blushed and laughed. He smiled.
