  • Isn't it pretty? This is Gulfuss, probably the most famous waterfall in Iceland.

Looking at this natural wonder, the steady flow of water reminds me of my creative thought process. Usually I am floating along, casual as anything, when suddenly an idea hits and I go over the little waterfall. This idea usually isn't anything grand or outstanding, but it doesn't take me long to get my head around it and to know what to do with it.

This is when I go over the 2nd cliff.

This cliff of ideas is a lot deeper than the first one. It contains ideas that are so exhilarating and terrifying that I often have no idea what is waiting for me below. I just hold on and hope for the best. It's from these ideas that my true creativity is born. The things I am most proud of are the things that have scared me the most.

One of those things was deciding to travel half way around the world by myself for 5 months.

But without that amazingly terrifying idea, we wouldn't be looking at this incredible photo.

Funny how things work out, huh?
