  • My husband Keith just drove away on his motorcycle with a packet of my poems in his backpack. He is headed out to stand in for me at a poetry reading called Musings at the Scarab Club where I am scheduled to feature. I can't go because I am too sick. I stood in my nightgown and watched him drive away.
  • The first image is of us at Lake of the Clouds in the Porcupine Wilderness area of Michigan's UP (Upper Peninsula). The last time we were there was the last time I was as sick as I am now. (That was not when this picture was taken.)

The second image shows me reading my poetry at an outdoor cafe in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I will not be reading today, but Keith is standing in for me.

Thank you Keith for standing in for me and to Ann Holdreith for scheduling me as a featured reader.
