  • I think it's really hard to project myself as far as five years from now. My life has been so full of events recently that opportunities could take me anywhere. I'm really grateful for these opportunities.
Gratefulness is, in fact, one of the reasons I would like to start working on giving back, while doing things that make me feel I'm making meaning by building great things and creating impact.

There is so much uncertainty in my future that I could think up several scenarios on where I could envision myself. One thing's for sure though, it will feel grateful and fulfilling.

For example, I could be working back home helping develop the Yachay or PARCON Knowledge and Technology Parks. These are local initiatives to build innovation ecosystems in hopes of revitalizing ecuadorian industry and knowledge building through the creation of value.

Another possible future I envision, maybe ten years from know, is woking somewhere in Silicon Valley's startup culture. I've been building startups ever since I graduated, and it feels really liberating to be able to control your destiny.

Yet another future could be working on a different field entirely. I've been working on technology and innovation, but my hobbies and serendipity have led me to several other industries, such as fashion, surfing, music, photography, design, television, and liberal arts. Mixing technology with these has always been something I've though about doing.

As you can see, size, location and scope can vary. But I'll be doing my own thing, perhaps ignoring some rules, or challenging the status quo, working on something meaningful.
As for the place I'd like to live in, it would have to be close to a beach, that's as specific as I can get. Maybe a warmer climate. I feel Latin America, California, and Australia are cultures that have resonated with me, but I'm open to visit new places, and who knows? Maybe I'll be amazed by something totally unexpected.
