  • In this moment the stress of a hard transit is over. Chef Raffie and I giggle with delight in the control room of our mega-yacht life. The only thing I know in the world is happiness. Sprung from the pulsing salty insanity of a raw scallop. Lobsterman Andy gives us a bucket full of whole scallops within hours of our arrival. No skillet required. We pop these tender white circles straight from the shell into our mouths. I've made it back to Maine. The simplicity of this season in Southwest Harbor will be a long lasting gift. My first scallop after landfall a marker of many good things to come.
