  • I try to say thank you
when people do kind things for me.
    I am not perfect.
My thank yous are often late,
    but I do try.

My thank yous are sometimes a piece of writing.
    A short story,
    a piece of prose.
Even if not brilliantly written or
    treasured forever
I think it shows I have put in some thought and effort.

I like to put things in the post.
    A notecard,
    a small gift or photograph.
    I love getting nice post,
so I hope other people feel the same.
A nice treat in amongst all the junk, bills and dreariness.

I like to send a message or an email.
I sometimes find I can’t express myself in a text message,
I like full words and punctuation too much.
But a nice email or facebook message can be a thoughtful thank you.

I have had a bit of a moan about people who don’t say thank you
Something I have come across surprisingly often.
Whereas others have gone out of their way to say thank you to me.

So I wanted to share how I say thank you with you.
    Not perfect.
    But still trying...
