  • Doing good, changing the world. Is it supposed to be fun? It seems selfish to have fun. How can we have fun when there are people suffering, people without hope?

Doing good should be hard, it should be uncomfortable; sleepless nights, giving until it hurts, sacrifice, tears, sweat, blood - whatever it takes?

No. Maybe not. How far I have come from where I want to be.

In doing good there should be joy. There should be laughter, fun, friends. We are in this together, and we must bring light and hope to the world. If we aren't experiencing life, hope, happiness, faith, joy, goodness, friendship ourselves, how can we offer that to a hurting and broken world?

It won't always be easy. But gosh darn it, it should be fun.
