  • Full exposure: I'm so terrified of all the options:
billowing clouds of smoke shattering against the barrier under which air, blood and sternum rest.

Full exposure: I sometimes doubt my choices:
deep stakes in the pit, struck and sunken in by ifs...so far down...

Full exposure: I try to run from it:
stagnancy, insideness, a moving box, overcome by a body, two feet, 10 toes, pointed northwest, dipped into a gray vapor sink, then straining and puffing through the budding forests of the spring.

    And then:

in the no-mouth world, where you are one with the weather, embracing the clouds, sodden in eerie blankness, such fullness burns storms into clarity...

...sunlight in water pools--puddles or lakes or sounds--beams into the glittering center: the eye of my dream. illuminated.

    I have options.
