  • I guess everyone has their secret little places. The ones where they really like to sneak off to and hang out when nobody else is looking. Ed's Diner in Soho is one of those for me. I love the retro shiny, slightly worn feel of the place.

On random rare afternoons when I get to hang about in town I might stop in to Orbital comics and grab something interesting to read. Then I go to Ed's and have the usual.

Hot dog, no onions. Plenty of ketchup & mustard.
    Banana milkshake.

It's not a secret but I never invite anyone else. I sit at the counter and take my time with the milkshake, read my comic book, and regress to an all American childhood that I never had, but grew up knowing about and somehow always wanted to experience.

Which is sort of strange. But I did watch an incredible amount of TV as a kid!
