  • I haven't been here in awhile because you changed and it wasn't in a way that I was comfortable with. I liked it when it felt contained, like a vacuum or a sacred bubble. I started out posting interesting dreams I was having and then started using you as a journal because I needed a secret place to talk to. Then you became unsafe. When I post something now, I'm invited to share it with everyone I know and the a Facebook "like" button appears at the top of every story. This is not at all something I want (even a little). So, Cowbird, I am removing/finding a new (safer) home for stories that I deem extra sensitive, and probably will continue to not participate actively anymore. And hey, Cowbird Friends, I have missed keeping up with all of your lives and stories, the fiction and the real. I feel sad that while I've been shying away Tony G and Rain and some others seem to have disappeared. When I stopped coming here to write, I also kind of stopped reading unfortunately, even though your lives and stories are truly interesting and fascinating to me. I have a dedicated Cowbird email address that has 857 new messages in it today. I wonder if I'm the only one that feels like all these share options are violating. Maybe, Cowbird, you'll change your ways and give some of us shy birds the option to opt out of having our stories shared? That'd be swell. Until then.. xoxo
