  • It doesn't matter if I still have such a long way to go, from the very first morning, they scribble me drafts of their imaginings and sit still to read the books I place in their hands. They are sometimes frightened of themselves and bruise one another wrestling with the changes, but their kindness is ready and piercing. I will never be able to catch up to them and yet they grant me their questions and their laughter shifts the day before me as starkly as the sun.
