  • Mniszew. A tiny village in the furthest corner of the Polish countryside, with an average- aged population of 60. But also the best place in the world. We go there every year, and it is a place to be free, to be adventurous, to be yourself. A place where you can go on infinite bike rides, be cut from civilization for a couple of weeks and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Campfires in the garden grilling cheese and sausages, building tree houses in the sand covered forest, making crumble and soup with the various fruits and vegetables grown in the garden, being carried by the river's strong current. And last but not least, spending stormy evenings with nothing but candle light, and running in the garden, only wearing underwear and screeching with delight under the pouring rain. Oh how I wish I could freeze time in these moments. Oh how I wish I could be there right now. My Peaceful Haven.
