  • Thanks to who asked for a '2 word name for a movie about your life'. One of my friends who is quite spiritual said her title would be 'Amazing Grace.' Another one who loves to laugh said 'Seriously Funny.'

Mine would be 'Rollercoaster Ride.' It would be fictionalised of course, to make it more interesting. There will be music, Bollywood dances, a dysfunctional family, gossip, intrigue, sex, secrets.

Did I actually say fictionalized? Cos very often truth is far more interesting than fiction. Come to think of it, all of us have stories to tell. Some of the best stories told or written about are those of the common man. There are heart-warming rags to riches stories and vice versa. And there are disturbing tales of murder and mayhem. You see it in the newspapers and on television every day.
Every day secrets come tumbling out. And that reminds me of a recent conversation I had with a friend.

Friend 'Wouldn't it be nice to meet someone who understood even the dustiest corners of your mixed-up soul?'

    I said 'A frightening thought.'

    ' Why so?'

' Cos secrets and skeletons need to be kept in a cupboard and shouldn't be rattling about for all to see'.

' But if a person could look into your soul, I presume he would be compassionate enough to understand the presence of skeletons.'

    ' Hmmm...yes, I suppose you're right'.

Another name I'd choose would be 'FAMILY SECRETS.'

Oh yes, our large extended family has a lot of skeletons and poltergeists lurking in the cupboards. We cannot let them out so we've locked them away. But from time to time they rumble in the dark recesses of our minds. They will die with us. Or maybe they will live on and haunt our descendants. Just as we pay for the sins of our forefathers, so our progeny will pay for ours.
What about you? Do you have a 2 word title for a movie based on your life?
