  • This first day of November day is windy and overcast. I lie on the office carpet with my new notebook and pen, writing out the To Do's for my audio piece. There is something not right, a squeeze. Some problem to solve. I am not feeling like working -I am comparing my life to others, tight in my belly, worried about situations and people that need fixing.

I have a phone call planned with a good friend after lunch. She helps me remember that all is actually well. There are no problems to fix in the big picture. This simple reminder opens me up. Oh yeah, maybe all is well. I am reminded of curiosity, of wanting to create, of being present.

On this first day of November.
