  • Doing laundry, is an every day occurrence in our global bovine-avian society. Putting it out on the line, after we soap and scrubb. . . . washing away the strain of daily wear. It is our hope to restore the vibrance and luster of our words (whether glad, mad, bad or sad), to offer a fresh and appealing presence for our patrons, in order to gain or retain their support, and to our daily reads and readers so they will remain our creative sounding board and life line.

The fact is, we who offer our most intimate, personal laundry for public scrutiny, open ourselves up to bad reviews, and rejection . . . . . . We say, “I don’t need or seek approval, just a platform to write”, but the fact is, we ask for recognition in our give and take, our tell and retell. We want, and we need to belong.

I try to choose visually stimulating images from my current and archived photos to attract a readership. The pop and saturation of colors and the array of visual perspectives, offer depth along this quiet valley. They help me find definition for a multitude of picture words, with the ultimate reward . . . . . support for life along our communal laundry line.
