  • "I heard the future on the radio; it sounded really tinny."
    - Andy Warhol

    The future is a kind of fashion. To be perfectly honest, we've left behind
    tremolo and wail for hiccup and glitch.

    The future moves fast, loses its hat in the wind.

    The future is a kind of fashion modeled into the shape of modern appliances;
    think plastic... think shiny... bright... smooth. Think the belly
    of a whale, the flash of a great fish from deep within ambeer waters.

    The future is a kind of fashion where alveolar streets stand empty and on their own,
    where buildings twist their aching metal spines towards a bristling sun,
    where architecture is a word without comfort.

    The future is a kind of fashion whose colors splinter and fade.

    But the future is also a kind of kinetic hope; it carousels at the blinding speed of joy.
