  • Standing in front of the magical potion floor washes, I realized I don't cast spells anymore. The only floor wash I could buy was the one for PEACE. I say a lot of prayers now, and make offerings, and ask for guidance. Lately I've been trying to say my prayers out loud, and it's been really interesting to say all the words.

Sometimes I just blow the prayer. Last summer, making an offering in the ancient root cellar at Clear Creek, Kentucky, I blew my prayers and suddenly learned how to whistle for the first time in my life.
