  • This is my nephew. He is a fast learner. His dad is a mean (by mean I mean amazing) guitar player, so his interest in guitar seemed natural.

But this little dude is catching on fast, singing and dancing and strumming to his little out of tune, off key, happy heart's content...

Yeah It's not perfect. But you weren't when you started were you? What he lacks in perfection he makes up for in pure raw passion, fueled by curiosity.

And the little guitar he plays, belongs to an old friend of mine who passed away suddenly at the age of 21, just one year ago.

That friend lived the fullest, greatest, most meaning filled 21 years of any man I have ever known. And that guitar; that guitar reminds me of every bit of it.

So when my little nephew strums that little guitar, I don't hear some out of tune mess.

I hear the beautiful sound of a life well lived.
