  • The pope resigned today.

I heard the news this morning during my semi-English class, the one I never read for because I find no benefit in reading Paul's letter to the Romans and my bed is an epic-less prison that I can't get out of, and often don't want to.

"He is the first one to resign in over 600 years."
He knows he is dying and wants to write before he's past tense.

I guess I care about the pope, the church, the world, but not this week or semester. Pictures suck and phone calls rip. I have only been in love once and that number won't change.

I see two empty chairs. The one in Rome will meet new holy cheeks soon. The one propped under my ribs wants to, but I will not let it. At least not now.
