  • 1. Make time for yourself

    2. Have a hobby and spend time on it every day or at least three times a week

    3. Put on some music and dance even if you're all by yourself

    4. When you're feeling low, go out and do something for someone who is worse off than you

    5. Smile at yourself first thing in the morning. Smile at someone new every day. (Listen to Nat King Cole's 'Smile' for inspiration)

    6. Keep a journal and write down everything that happens, and everything you're grateful for.

    7. If you have a problem try and think of at least ten solutions for it

    8. Be positive, especially when your glass is half full

    9. Exercise, or go for a walk daily

    10. Join a club or meet new people. For starters, if you're not already a member you could join the Cowbird group on Facebook. Of course Cowbird itself is a wonderful place to tell your stories and make friends.
