  • Slow but steady snow...and the wind is building.

    The shovels, snow blower and roof rake all await...but for now I'm heading back out into it.

    It's like being a kid again when these storms roll in. "Snow days," the wonderful days when there's no school.

    Kid-like, I stood on the shore a couple of hours ago, just down below my studio, and looked at these pilings sticking out of the ice and - somehow - related...just a little.

    And (next page) I looked down on the huddled, cold and empty boats on the bank and my mind filled with images of all the life and warmth and noise and energy of their people.

    Ain't life grand!
