  • Q: Why did you choose to study abroad in Bonn?

A: I've gotten a lot of questions centered around why I chose Bonn, Germany as my city to study abroad in. Prior to coming to Bonn, my main reasons for studying in Germany was because the program focused on business students, I would be able to take the necessary classes to continue on my academic track and its central location was ideal for traveling around Europe. In the same manner, my reason to study abroad "period" was because I heard it was a feasible opportunity through LMU and that you would have the best time of your life.

After spending a week in Bonn, my professors asked me the same question. After a whole week, my perspective has completely shifted. I have come to become very fond of the city of Bonn because of its size. It reminds me a lot of Boston, Massachusetts, or what I have experienced/seen of Boston. It is a smaller, home-y city, but still has a night-life presence. Similarly, It is active, but allows for time to relax. I am able to feel at home here because of its natural balance. Had I studied abroad in Berlin or Paris or Rome, I could have easily become overwhelmed by the magnitude and power of the city. Studying and living in Bonn proved to be a wonderful fit for my next four months.
