  • Yesterday I had lunch at local food joint in downtown San José. They were serving rice, beans, steak and salad. After lunch they gave you ice cream for dessert.

The place was packed. The only empty table was the one between the old lady and me. I took her picture without asking for permission. I felt a bit bad about it.

I took out my phone to record some audio. When the waiter came he told me it was probably a good idea to put my phone away. They had recently stolen "one of those phones" from a guy a few days ago right there inside the restaurant.

I guess as long as they keep on charging $3.98 for a full meal we'll all just keep on going. Mugging and all, it's still a great price.
