  • I drew this during an hour-long phone call. Afterwards, I stared at it. These intricate doodles never happen when I'm actually trying to make art. It's like the impatient part of my brain has to be otherwise engaged before this level of detail can come out.

    Looking at this drawing makes me a little wistful. Did this really come from me? What other things are hidden in me?

    And why is it so much easier to comprehend the beautiful and complex than it is to (re)create it most of the time?
