  • I've been making readings at lunchtime, and it's quite late, mine.
So I find myself most of the times lunching with myself. Good time for readings. Good time for looking around and about.
And most of the times, at this hour, I only see men at the spots where I have lunch. Here at Casa Guedes they booze, have snacks and gossip about other people's lives.
    - She's been bedridden for 15 years. - says a brown-capped man eating a pig's leg sandwich.
    - Nogueira and the other guy killed themselves! - exclaims the taller man with coke-bottle glasses.
    He goes on:
    - When they have something bugging them, they kill themselves.
From the mouth of the brown-capped man, standing still for what seems an eternity:
    - When she wants to leave, she will!
    - Who? - asks one of the brothers Guedes.
    -The rain. - he answers.
I distracted myself with the cheese and the pumpkin jam. Now they are talking about diabetes and cataracts.
    - Niagara Falls are the biggest in the world! - says the mope-eyed.
    - I had the wrong idea about what a cataract was, until I had the eye surgery. - this guy is the lame one and he moves his hand holding the glass wine.
    - You got a bunch of wrong ideas, you drink a glass and you don't pay for it! It's a wrong idea, it's a cataract!
