  • Who Gets to be the Jew?

I’ve noticed a great many of these meme pics with Hitler and gun control being posted up as Obama, Biden and the Dems go for a full court press on instituting further restrictions on firearm ownership. For some strange reason, usually an apathetic disdain for doing research (you know that faggy reading shit) these folks are so focused on their firearms' fetish that they both miss the historical nuance of firearms restrictions under old Adolf and let both the Obama and the previous Bush administration slide on a whole slew of items far more fascist and totalitarian in scope than instituting restrictions on firearm ownership, many of which were covered in the previous 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, and for us Californians under The Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act of 1989 and cranked up a notch in 1999, making it so the rest of ‘Merica has to live in the same paradigm of strict gun ownership that Californians have been under for 23 years without the UN led storm-troopers rounding us up and throwing us into FEMA concentration camps to be re-educated on the proper way of organic gardening and eating Michael Moore’s pussy.

First off, yes Hitler did institute gun control regulations, but they went both ways and were only later targeted towards Jews under the 1938 “Regulations Against Jews' Possession of Weapons.” However, much stricter weapons bans were already in place prior to Hitler’s rise to power. In 1919, following WWI, under Article 169 of the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was stripped of military arms and munitions. Shortly thereafter, the Weimar Republic wrote into law the “Regulations on Weapons Ownership” which outlawed all firearms. This law was actually used against rising fascist groups such as the Nazis in Bavaria. The carrying of weapons by anybody not involved in law enforcement carried heavy fines, jail time and even execution. The brown shirt thugs of the SA, the precursor to the SS, didn’t have firearms at first and were notorious in their use of mob beatings with short handled truncheons and batons, which shows you how far people can rise to power without guns and just focused anger and the will to beat anybody down who comes into their path. Once in power, the Nazis would relax gun restrictions on selected groups and increase gun restrictions on other groups, such as the Jews.

People seem to go blank on this targeting of specific rights towards a minority when bringing into question today’s present conundrum with gun regulations and the 2nd Amendment. They play the historical race card when yammering about gun control today in America, which is kind of off point. This would be far more appropriate if only a specific group was being targeted with losing their gun ownership privileges. If Obama and Biden got on the tube this morning and hollered out a screed and signed executive orders stripping all Mexican-Americans of their rights to own firearms, then the whole Hitler disarming the Jews prior to the Final Solution comparison would have a little more relevance and gravitas. Also, the NRA would probably go dead silent on that one. To these folks making the Hitler/Obama gun-control comparison, I would ask, who gets to be the Jew in this equation? Are we all the Jews here? It’s going to be kind of hard to build a concentration camp for 350 million people much less try to remove the same amount of guns from the populace. Plus, as far as targeting a specific group, we already have stripped both gun ownership and voting rights away from the millions of felons in our society, but you rarely hear people talking up the need to give the giant, ex-con, steroid monster with the face, neck and hand tattoos a gun or even his right to vote back. Chances are that he doesn’t give a shit about voting and already has a gun, or five, all fully auto, a couple of grenades, nun-chucks, a Samurai sword and a rocket launcher.

I also find it fascinating that the people comparing Obama to some new Hitler are generally only getting their feathers ruffled on the whole gun issue and either draw blank stares or even give a good rebel yell on items that are far more fascist and totalitarian in their scope under the present and previous administration such as the continuation of The Patriot Act, the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which in 2012 codified indefinite military detention without charge or trial into law for the first time in American history, H.R.347 – Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act (a.k.a. the “Anti-Protest” or “Anti-Occupy” bill) which curtails First Amendment rights, plus the maintenance of a bloated military-industrial complex and the wars that keep them in business, and the administration hand in hand skipping though the halls of power with bankers and large corporations who can act with impunity and immunity towards their own mutually beneficial ends (a true hallmark of fascism). The same people screaming “Obama’s a new Hitler” when he’s coming for their AR-15 with a 100 round double drum magazine don’t say boo when the targets are just a bunch of “sand-niggers, hippies and other potential commie terrorists.” If these yahoos would stand up for the 1st Amendment as hard as they would the 2nd Amendment, chances are that things wouldn’t have gone so far south as they have. It probably comes down to something as simple as the 2nd Amendment actually has something that us monkeys can physically wrap our hands around and possess, so it lends itself to the very possessive nature of our culture; plus you can lazily kill somebody with it as well, which is also very American. The 1st Amendment is far more ethereal and requires constant studied vigilance, which is something that is growing to be unfortunately less American every day.
