  • This postcard is one of those things that one day you re-discover in a drawer or an old file and becomes suddenly one 'found reminiscence'.
Sometimes expressing a profound feeling of joy: a flash of light into darkness, a solid step in a decadent reality, a hint of eros into wilderness, a discretely beeming volume, a moment of poetic lucidity or just a memory strangely flowing back to the surface …

It was purchased at the museum Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin in 2005 and found around 2009 during an appartment relocation in Palermo!

Signed: 'Joseph Beuys, la revoluzione siamo noi' (the revolution is us)

If you look carefully at his expression, you can barely distinguish a sign of joy in the eyes of Joseph.
In fact, everything seems to be in this determined step toward us / towards a vision, that this young man expresses deep joy … as if all his oeuvre is already in this one step.
