  • Yesterday I had a shitty day. Not only was I in a bad mood for a good chunk of the day but it felt like I wasn't getting out of it anytime soon. It reminded me of myself from before, and that put me in an even deeper funk.

I figured that instead of sitting at home, worrying, I would venture out to the monthly Hartford Whiskey Club gathering at a friend's art studio. I imagined that if the whiskey didn't make me relax, there would be plenty of things to distract my mind: art + friends. And it worked! But it only worked because, in the past year, I've met some really wonderful people. Interesting, funny, creative, briliant. It is actually impossible to stay in a bad mood around these guys, and I am truly thankful for that.

note: I love this 'bits of happiness' journal idea.
