  • Travel through the countryside in India and you'll see how a camera can light up faces.

I was at the back of a 4WD, off for a safari into the Bhadra Tiger Reserve. The long drive to the jungle gates goes past a canal, on a bumpy road. I saw these tractors everyday, transporting rocks and soil for some road repairs by the canal. On a dry evening, this speeding tractor behind us gathered up a lot of dust and I picked up my camera to photograph the scene. What I noticed later is three lit up faces, I am guessing they thought I was shooting their portraits.

I succumbed to the bright smiles focused on photographing the happy faces.
