  • My garden is my passion and my therapy. When a flower blooms here it is like a favorite book that opens up a new world of possibilities. It is emotionally healing and miraculously amazing all at the same time to see a flower close-up in nature. I am fascinated by the complexity of a flower; its scent, its color, and its shape.

Lilies are the gorgeous ladies of the garden. This lily reminds me of a beautiful woman spinning in a dance. The photo was taken in July, when the heat in the Midwest town I live in readily melts grass and people and ice cream cones. Yet Lily loves the heat and continues to dance her dance, never tiring.
