  • I'm drinking with a group of women. We're in our 20s. We get to the porch of the apartment I was raped in when I was 16. I'm alone, it's a hot sunny day (just like the day of the "event"), and I'm not at all emotional because I have a key and I live here now. I go in and a scene with news playing on a television in the background and a child in a bouncy chair and in another room an infant in a high chair bleed in but when I blink they seem like holograms or projections that disappear quickly and I am in an abandoned studio apartment. There is a pair of costume faerie wings folded up on the floor, the kind that are white with sparkles and shoulder straps. A Mylar balloon is hanging on the door and I flip it over to the outside but the door won't close properly and I am waiting for someone to visit so the butterfly balloon needs to not be in the way so I hang it on the closet door which is right next to the front door and I continue to wait.
