  • Why don't I have a go-to bucket list? My neighbors do:
    - Eat a cricket.
    - Come out to my family.
    - See Daft Punk live.

The corner of Adams St and Fulton Mall stares at me. Wire baskets present pastel sidewalk chalk. Like it's easy. Nothing I conjure fills the weight of this one empty line:
    - Write a novel.
    - Be trilingual.
    - Visit all 50 states.

Things I want to fade before I die flood in:
    - The satisfaction of revenge
    - The ease of brunch over craft
    - The anxiety of anti-gravity

That's the joy of a chalkboard. It will fade. Or in this case, it will be torn down and turn into a Shake Shack.

I write: Eat more frozen custard.
