This is based on Mary Stebbin Taitt's word prompt for the week - 'PRESENT.'
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I could give you a perfect present it would be:
1) The capacity to have, not just sight but also vision. The gift of perfect sight to observe and marvel at the beauty surrounding you. To look beyond others' imperfections and discover the beauty within.
2) The ability to listen to your inner voice and the patience to lend a ear to others.
3) The power to enjoy the scent of a rose, while accepting the thorns of life.
4) The gift of being able to touch others by sharing their pain and healing their wounds. The intelligence to get in touch with yourself through moments of silence, solitude, meditation.
5) The competence to taste success and relish the good things in life, and also to learn from upheavals and disasters.
Above all - to live in the present moment.
Don't worry about the future.
Take care of and enjoy the 'present.'

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around" - Leo Buscalia.
