  • I made this short audio piece after a Thanksgiving at my Nana and Poppi's house a couple of years ago. This is a sonic impression of my Nana and Poppi attempting to gather everyone together for Poppi's annual speech around the table.

I can't make it home for Thanksgiving this year, but listening to this, I can bring myself back to the table. I can hear the sounds of my sister and cousin laughing. I can hear my aunt clanking her spoon to her wine glass. I can hear the sound of my Poppi breathing with a bit of his asthmatic wheeze. I can listen back to his genuine and loving family blessing. I am so grateful for this now.
