  • I used to take the kids here when they were little. We picnicked and swam and read all the CS Lewis books, The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe etc.

    Then they grew up.

    Maybe you can't go back, not to stay, but, sometimes, you can go back and remember.


    This was near sunset. Gold light. Turn off the auto white balance. Then I Ortonized it slightly, not with a push button, but by hand.
  • Sara is the daughter who appears as a baby in several other photos, including the recent ones where she is standing in for Dana's baby, Harmony. She is my older daughter and the mother my grandson Frankie who resembles Sara the same age.


    I have seen some lovely photographs on Cowbird and you have inspired me to:

    1)attempt to do better photos myself
