  • Getting sick In a foreign land is never fun, but it does make you think that things have a way of synching up in the universe when you get sick while traveling with two UCLA ER nurses with a stocked medicine bag. These ladies took good care of me and I am so grateful. These friends from Cali were on the first leg of my trip in Northern Thailand and then joined the latter half of the sailing trip through the southern islands. I'll always remember Rochelle's laugh and their coordinating sari's. It was cool when they joined the latter half of the sail trip after we parted 4 days earlier, like meeting up with old friends. Time is a funny, nonexistent thing when on holiday.
