  • We awoke the other day to see an Iris pushing up from the plants that were cut down in preparation for winter.

The weather has been turning colder with an occasional frost so you can imagine our surprise as it continued to grow.

As the weather continued to grow colder the Iris just stood there defiant against the frigid night air and the frosty mornings. We did not think it would bloom, but rather wilt in place from the cold.

This morning, to our amazement, our November Iris was blooming.

Will we see you again in the spring?
