  • When I go fishing, or for that matter almost anywhere, I take along at minimum a sketch pad and pencils. On the stream I pack watercolor paper and water-soluble graphite pencils to begin a painting. Then, when I am done fishing for the day, I can relax back at our cabin and sit at the picnic table working with watercolors or pen & ink to put the finishing touches on. Of course, my buddies get on me about not joining in the conversations and one in particular (Muskrat Matty – another story) told me: “I want the old Gary back”.

I keep telling him this is the "old" Gary
