  • Almost three months into college and I have a mind that won't settle down. Time goes by each day and week faster than ever before.
They say college is the best four years of your life. And so far, it's been nothing but a constant test to who I am and what I can handle.
This challenge is faced by balancing academics, friends, workouts, lectures, leisure, sleeping and eating.
In just one short month, I will be back home in Nashville, Tennessee for the first time since August. I will see friends and family and my room that was all left behind to come up to this different, northeastern world of uncertainty and constant movement. Rarely do I have a moment to reminisce those long, southern summer days. I would wake up on Waterford Drive and go for a run along a country road, surrounded by rolling green hills and farm land. I would think about the future on those runs, just as I think about the future now. It never leaves my mind for too long. But that is something I'm working towards--a clear sense of thought.
First post to cowbird and certainly not a last. Cowbird makes me think of Catbird, a new Nashville restaurant I have yet to try.
Philadelphia is city I'm not ready to give up on. I just miss sweet, ole' Nashville.
