  • I met Joe Kerekes in Berwind, West Virginia one day while shooting with McDowell resident, Alan Johnston. I was intrigued by the fact that Kerekes still spoke Hungarian in his small town nestled in between the mountains.

Joe invited me into his home to share the many photographs and artifacts he has saved from his community.

Like many McDowell residents, Joe has seen alot change over the years.

Thank you Joe for opening your home to me.
