  • "It feels like nothing is moving nor forward , nor backwards, everything is stagnant. I cannot pay the taxes or the rent . "my friend told me, "i have to shut the store down i already owe four months rent" . "I am keeping the business just to have something to do everyday" . "I do not complain publicly but i can complain to you" he said.
He is a good friend ,he has great humor , he is wondering how he is going to survive . He is already 60 , no security and soon no job , his son can immigrate but what about him. "Someone will feed me he says ", we are laughing at the phone .... thinking how we are going to pay the new taxes . it seems so funny , really very funny ..
And then i get angry, not scared , not sad , angry...No, Ι will not let anyone from my close friends get down , we will be around all together to help and feed and shelter and the other friends they will do the same . We are already doing it. Someone will sent food from crete at least some local rabits and chickens and some local wine and raki , we will share all together and we'll still laugh and have fun and fall in love. We will not surrender, my people will keep their spirit alive and creative and that is a promise .
