  • The stories on cowbird fascinate me. I'm sort of lost in the power and pretentiousness of words in this space. The ability of writers and tellers to convey meaning through language on the screen is alluring and enrapturing. Why? I do not know. Just, that this space is speaking to something within, right now. Whether it will tomorrow, remains to be seen and felt.

Will these stories survive the onslaught of digitised fragility?

Can these stories still convey their meaning and power, in a year, two years, 10 years, 1000, 10,000?

Can cowbird become a part of the process of our designing a 'Long Now', with the future of our species built on a slow and determined resistance to frivolous updates, yesterdays memes and a cultural imperative for immediate consumption?

Would that my writing - and others - remain stoic and composed throughout the histories of my antecedents, moving someone of The Singularity or perhaps they, who live on newly terraformed HD-40307g; helping them grasp some truth of the human condition, lucid and wonderful in the telling through this transcendent language and symbolism.

Can cowbird be the Library Alexandrian, un-toppled, unburnt, unsullied for the edification of my future youth?
