  • This figure is taken from a campaign by the National MS Society; the poignancy of the billboard makes me heartsick like a sword. I identify with an unaware consciousness that lies in wait of its next corporal failure as though it willingly sits blindfolded on train tracks. There is never any knowing what comes next for any of us and I have walked clear of those tracks for it.

    Walking clear of the tracks won't mean immunity to the bellows of wind and horn that rush alongside them, but it will give a little more objectivity than getting hit by the accompanying train would.
