  • Millie has been a beloved and somewhat mysterious icon in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco for many decades. She spent years taking Polaroids of people for 3, 4, and 5 bucks. She eats everywhere for free and is deeply loved by everyone she meets. She went missing for a while in 2009 and turned up wandering around Reno, Nevada. Friends brought her back to SF where she is currently recuperating from some physical issues at a rehab center, before she returns to her low rent apartment in North Beach. She's disoriented and wavers between playfully sassy, and wistfully lonely. Her devoted friends try to keep her sparked, engaged, and well cared for. They melt every time she says one of her classic sayings: "Will you behave!" and "Don't wear it out!" This is the first sketch in a series of sound impressions of Millie.
