  • I make this walk often. I tend to rush down the path behind the police station, race past the library, and dash bast the fire fighters dorm. Not for a moment do I pause. Typically I'm rushing because I am late for class, or on the verge of a creative explosion, in which case every second counts. But tonight I stroll along the path, camera in hand, creating art outside of the art building. I pause. I wait. What I'm waiting for I don't know? I suppose its that moment, the moment that is right to take the photograph. The darkness disrupts my usual rush to snap a photo, instead I find myself lying on the cold damp ground, waiting. The stillness is comforting and the light dancing through the trees as each car passes creates a new scene of color before me. I am waiting, enjoying the show before me, watching things change before me. I begin to wonder, am I changing too? Or am I like the trees providing something for the change to occur around?
